Objectives
The curriculum is designed in a way to help develop the mind of the student systematically
until the final project. During this process of development, several objectives
are achieved:
The first is to acquire critical and scientific thinking that helps in evaluating
decisions and formulating ideas.
The second is to understand current technology in building and design.
The third is to observe what technologies can be suitable to our culture in terms
of climate and traditions.
The fourth is to realize how society thinks.
The fifth is to consider the surrounding environment in terms of trends, site conditions,
landscape and economics standards.

Innovation
The Department has innovated a practice that is not found elsewhere in the
country. It arranges joint workshops with foreign universities every year. Every
fall semester, a group of students and teaching staff come from Europe and the Gulf
region & meet our faculty and students in a ten-day workshop. During that period
they visit the site of the workshop and all discuss alternative design solutions.
Another innovative practice is the arrangement of academic trips outside Egypt.
Every summer, our students and staff travel to Europe to participate in an international
workshop hosted by a prominent school in the European Union. Students in these events
benefit a great deal from the cross-cultural and academic backgrounds of various
schools. The workshop ends with a certificate from the hosting university testifying
the participation of our students in the event.
Your future career
All of our students find immediate job offers in the professional market either
in Egypt or abroad. This is because throughout their five-year-study, their professional
mindset has been carefully developed through individualized tutoring and international
exposure.
Accreditation
By the decree No. 26 of the Ministry of Higher Education on 9/7/2000, the faculty
